Addressing the Impact of ACEs

ACEs are defined as “highly stressful and potentially traumatic events or situations that occur during childhood and/or adolescence. They can be single events or prolonged threats to a young person’s safety, security, trust, or bodily integrity” (Young Minds, 2018). Research shows that ACEs can significantly impact long-term physical and mental health.

The Growing Stronger campaign focuses on addressing these challenges by providing resources and support to aid recovery and resilience. By targeting individuals across all age groups, the campaign seeks to foster understanding, healing, and growth in communities affected by ACEs.

A Multi-Layered, Multi-Channel Approach

To maximise the campaign’s reach and effectiveness, we implemented a comprehensive, multi-channel strategy:

• Brand Identity: Developed the campaign’s name, core identity, and visual branding.

• Website Development: Created a dedicated website to serve as a central hub for information, resources, and updates.

• Advertising Campaigns: Deployed targeted ads across out-of-home sites, local media outlets, and social media platforms to engage diverse audiences.

• Explainer Animation: Produced an animated video to explain ACEs and promote the campaign’s message in an accessible and engaging way.

• Video Content: Created impactful video materials to highlight personal stories and recovery journeys.

• Professional Training Collateral: Designed materials for training sessions to equip professionals with the tools to better support individuals impacted by ACEs.

This multi-faceted approach ensures that the campaign resonates with individuals, families, and professionals alike, creating a strong foundation for widespread impact.
