Be More is a digital platform designed to give young people in the Liverpool City Region a central hub to search, explore, and learn about apprenticeship opportunities. At its core, the project aimed to empower young people to make informed decisions about their careers by providing easily accessible career information in one simple platform.
What We Did
We designed and built the Be More portal on behalf of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA), creating a space where young people could explore apprenticeship opportunities. The project included developing the platform’s name, visual identity, and website, all designed in consultation with both current and prospective apprentices.
A standout feature of the platform is the ability for young people to create personalised prospectuses for courses available at various schools and colleges across the region. The portal offers an intuitive, direct, and accessible way for young people to search for local apprenticeship vacancies, discover real-life success stories, and access helpful guides about apprenticeships.
Be More was the first platform of its kind in the country, setting a benchmark for others to follow. We worked closely with a sample of young people throughout the development process, testing ideas and ensuring the platform would deliver maximum value.
Since its launch in 2019, we’ve continued to collaborate with LCRCA to evolve the platform, adapting it to meet the changing needs of the market and regional priorities for youth education and employment.

Creating a skilled workforce is vital for economic growth, and apprenticeships play a key role in filling the gap. Be More brings together vital information in one place, giving young people the tools to take control of their future and explore the opportunities available to them.
The platform provides a unified identity and serves as a comprehensive resource for apprenticeships across the Liverpool City Region. Be More’s flexibility has allowed it to be used by various organisations, each with a role in supporting apprenticeships and engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including job seekers, families, colleges, businesses, and partners.
